Book Club

13/09/2019 @ 7:00 pm – 8:30 pm
The Old Bank Camelford
24 Market Pl
Camelford PL32 9PF

All Welcome!

It will be open to all, not too formal. It’ll be interesting to try books we wouldn’t have normally chosen as well as meet and hear from other “readers”.

We meet on the 2nd Friday of each month.
Come along between 7 and 8.30 ish.

There will be refreshments available eg. £1 for tea/coffee.

Cost £1 each towards room hire

We have now put together the reading list for 2019, and hope that as many of you as possible can join us on the second Friday of each month, for a hot drink or glass of wine, and a chat about the designated book.  Do contact the Old Bank if you can’t get hold of a book, as very often one of us will have a copy you can borrow.  In March, Friday 8th is International Women’s Day, and the Old Bank is celebrating with a party – featuring live music but also Vanessa Kisuule who will be reading from her book Recipe for Sorcery, so you do not have to buy this book!  This replaces March’s meeting.
We are adding a new feature to our sessions: you are invited to bring along another book that you are reading and finding brilliant/have read and found brilliant and want everyone else to read.  A recommendation slot as well as a discussion of the current book.

Books we’re reading in 2019

We aim to discuss each book at the start of the next month, i.e. January’s book will be discussed the first Friday in February.
